The Event Bucket™ Network community boards are a free public resource for sharing genuine community events. To keep this space safe, welcoming, and useful for all residents, the following types of content are not permitted and will be grounds for rejection:
1. Political Content & Campaign Advertising
No political campaigning, candidate promotion, partisan advocacy, political fundraisers, ballot measure campaigns, or political action committee (PAC) events. Nonpartisan civic events (voter registration drives, town halls hosted by government bodies) may be permitted at administrator discretion.
2. Commercial Spam & Solicitation
No multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid scheme recruitment, direct sales pitches, or events whose primary purpose is selling products or services. Legitimate community business events (grand openings, chamber of commerce mixers) are welcome.
3. Discriminatory or Hateful Content
No events promoting hatred, harassment, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
4. Misleading or Fraudulent Information
All event details must be accurate and verifiable. No false event dates, fabricated organizer identities, bait-and-switch descriptions, or deceptive claims about the nature of an event.
5. Adult or Age-Inappropriate Content
No sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or content not suitable for a general public audience including minors. Community boards are displayed in public civic spaces.
6. Illegal Activity
No events promoting or facilitating illegal activity, or that violate local, state, or federal laws and ordinances.
7. Government Impersonation
No events that falsely represent themselves as being organized, endorsed, or sponsored by any government entity, elected official, or public agency unless verified by the city administrator.
8. Unverified Fundraisers & Solicitation
Fundraisers must be associated with a verifiable nonprofit organization or community group. Individual crowdfunding, personal GoFundMe-style campaigns, and unverified charitable solicitations are not permitted without administrator approval.
9. Incomplete or Low-Quality Submissions
Submissions must include all required fields: event name, date/time, location, description, organizer name, and contact email. Flyers must be legible and meet minimum quality standards.
10. Duplicate Listings
Submitting the same event multiple times is not permitted. If you need to update an existing listing, contact the city administrator.
11. Events Outside City Limits
The Event Bucket™ is designed to serve as a consolidated community platform for Waynesville residents and visitors. Events taking place outside the City of Waynesville cannot be listed at this time. Any city is welcome to adopt The Event Bucket™ to manage and share community events for their own population.
12. Other Inappropriate Content
Any content that the city administrator determines is not appropriate for public community display, including but not limited to: content that could cause public alarm, events at private residences without context, or content that does not serve a genuine community purpose.
Disclaimer: Events listed on this community board are submitted by community members and do not represent the endorsement, sponsorship, or official views of the City or The Event Bucket™ Network. All events are subject to review and approval by the city administrator. Rejected submissions will receive an email notification identifying the specific guideline violation(s). For questions or appeals, contact support@theeventbucket.com.
